Reflection #17
For my last reflection, I have a lot to say. Choosing fitness as my 20% time project was a great idea. I feel like I would have never gotten myself to workout if I did not have a real reason to. Having this being an assignment was great. It pushed me to get work done. I learned a lot about myself throughout this project and even noticed things that I never would have. I had always been involved in a sport and once I stopped , it really affected me. I completely stopped all athletic activity and noticed that I was getting very out of shape. That was not me at all. This project helped boost my confidence and get back to where I used to be. It was difficult to be consistent and make time to workout. I somehow managed to fit it into my day. It was also kind of tough working out a lone sometimes. I got used to it but it was nice to have a partner. I also did things that I never used to in the past when I was involved in sports. I started drinking A LOT more water and eating in ways that were appropriate for my body type. I learned about each body type and the importance if feeding them the right things. I now understand the true importance of water and the effectiveness of each workout. I am so glad that I chose this project and I am definitely going to work my hardest to keep up this healthy lifestyle.

Reflection #16
This week for my 20% time project i was able to take two of my friends out to work out with me. I actually like working out in the hotter weather that most people find uncomfortable. I just like getting a good sweat when i work out. I also really like how it feels once i get to take a shower after that good workout. I learned some more park exercises and i taught my friends how to do them. I made some new meals and found out about some small tasty snacks. I feel more comfortable now. it finally feels like i am getting used to this.
Reflection #15
This week for my 20% time project I was able to drink four bottles of water and I was also able to do my workouts outside. I love working out outside and i am so happy that it is actually warm enough to do so. I look forward to another week of getting in shape in the great outdoors. I was also able to make some tasty meals on the grill. This warm weather has given my project a nice twist and i am very excited to keep it moving.

Reflection #14
This week for my 20% time project I actually worked out outdoors. I waited till it hit sunset and i actually went for a run and did some workouts outside. I have not done this in a while and it feels great to do it. It was so beautiful out and the scenery is motivating. i went by myself this time and found that i worked well. I was focused on myself and not any one else's pace. It was awesome. so it looks to me like this is how i will be working out form now on but only if its nice out. water is the same though and food was a little messy this week. I have to get on top of things!!

Reflection 13
This week for my 20% time project I actually visited a new gym. It is by far the nicest gym i have ever been to. Lifetime Fitness in Florham Park. It is beautiful. I worked out twice there this week but i went to my gym twice as well so this week i went four days total. I also drank four water bottles. My sister and i also teamed up again to make some appetizing healthy food. She has been motivating me and everything is running smoothly with my results. I am very excited to see just how much healthier we are going to get. This new lifestyle is exciting!

Reflection #12
This week for my 20% time project i was able to stay at my 4 bottles a day goal. I did make new meals that i am excited to present when the time comes to share our project experience. One thing that is really cool is that my want to do this has motivated my sister to join me and start changing her lifestyle. It really is important to be healthy and I am glad that the people i love are starting to realize that as well. My sister is now accompanying me in my workouts and meals and it is really cool to have someone that wants to get results just like you. it is definitely motivating.

reflection #11
This week for my 20% time project I was able to make it to the gym four times. This has definitely become the number for me. It's the most I am honestly going to be able to make it. I can't get myself to pass four water bottles either which is something I did not expect. My meals this week were not as consistent as I would like them to be. I want to make sure I eat right everyday but it becomes a challenge when I am not home and other foods are much easier to access. I hope to make every thing work together when it comes to diet, exercise, and water.

Reflection #10
This week for my 20% time project I was able to accomplish a lot. I am still at four bottles a day. Feels like a lot but it really does make a difference. I got to the gym four times which is a great. this routine seems to really work for me. I also was able to stay on top of my diet this week. I cannot wait to show everyone all of the wonderful foods that are out there that are delicious and good for you! One thing I have definitely learned throughout this process is that taking care of yourself very important. Our loves tend to get so hectic that we forget about ourselves and our personal health. But, we have to take care of ourselves before we can take care of anyone else.

Reflection #9
This week for my 20% time project I am still at 4 bottles , well barely. I'm trying o get used to it. I had some more time to meal prep this week so that's good. I also went to the gym FOUR times! That's an improvement. I actually got to do everything this week and I'm feeling pretty accomplished. I feel great and I hope this really becomes a life style and I won't just stop after this project.
Reflection #8
This week for my 20% time project I reached 4 bottles in a day ! I honestly do feel better. Water is really important. It cleans you out and we need that. I started replacing juice with water instead and it's much better. Doesn't taste as great but it's much healthier. I only went to the gym 3 times this week though which is okay but I want to make everything more consistent. I didn't eat well though because I wasn't really home to prep my meals but overall it was a pretty good week.
Reflection #7
This week for my 20% time project I was able to drink a lot more water than I usually do. It's supposed to be at least 6-8 and I drank three which is a lot for me that just barely drinks two. I also went to the gym 4 times this week. I feel much cleaner with all this water. I messed up on food this week. I wasn't really eating what I was supposed to. I need to get my food habits better. It has become difficult for me.
Reflection #6
This week for my 20 % time project I made some new meals I found online. I worked out three days of the week and I have seen some improvement within my self. Not only do I look better, but I feel better. One thing that I definitely learned is that I do not drink as much water as I should. I'm way off from the suggested amount so I have made it my job to improve upon that.

Reflection #5
This week for my 20 % time project I worked out four times and I boosted up my healthy eating habits. I started cooking my own food and trying to stay away from consuming too much fat. I really want to tone up and all the fat and sodium found in foods is not going to let me. I want to make this a lifestyle so I am trying my best to be consistent.

Reflection 4
This week for my 20% time project I was able to go to the gym four times. I have been eating better but I want to do it little by little. I started eating more fruit and vegetables but I have not completely changed my diet. I am hoping to start making more of a change this coming week. I have motivated my sister and she wants to eat better too so now I have someone to do it with. Now I feel even more motivated to be in shape.

Reflection #3
This week for my 20% time project I did not go to the gym as much as I did last week. I went only twice. I really want to be consistent with my attendance at the gym. I want to tie healthy eating into my goals so I am going to start a change in diet. I am not sure how yet but that is something I definitely want to work on. I have terrible eating habits that need to improve. Summer is around the corner and i want to make sure i look great and feel great. Next week I am going to start working on my meal plan.

Reflection #2
This week for my 20% time project , I worked out only three days for his week. It has become difficult because I get tied up in all of the other activities that are presently going on in my life. I really want to workout consistently so I am hoping to get closer to my goal this upcoming week. I looked up some more workouts for women that will get me to where I want to be physically. I look forward to seeing some results.

refelction #1 S2
This week for my 20% time project I was able to actually join a gym with my mom. It is called Lifetime Fitness. I have always been the one to motivate her on her weight loss journey. It is time for me to push myself now. I have gone to the gym with her twice on the past week. I would have liked to go more but, how often we go also depends on how busy she is. So what i have decided to do is workout at home when we cannot go to the gym. Working out at home is not as motivating as going to an actual gym but, it is effective. I am feeling sore so that is a good thing. I have decided that my goal is to workout five days out of the week. I know it sounds crazy and i really hope i can achieve this with my busy schedule. I cannot wait to start seeing some results!

20 % Time Proposal
For the second half of the year, I am choosing to learn how to exercise properly on a regimented program. After I decided to not play a sport for my Senior year, I noticed a negative change when it came to exercising. Basketball was my stress reliever and now I don't really have a way to dedicate time to myself. What better way than exercise? It was something that was really important to me at one point and I lost sight of that. Having this be a project is a great way for me to get back on track and live my life the right way. I plan to use my time in class to do research on volume training, cardio, and other techniques that are going to help me stay fit. I am also going to use this time to organize my schedule so that I have everything planned accordingly. I am really looking forward to beginning this journey and I cannot wait to start seeing some results. I have everything I need to be fit and more so I really have no excuse when it comes to working out. My mother and I recently joined a gym. I have been feeling extremely motivated lately which is definitely a great starting spark for the rest of this project.

Reflection #16
This is it! The last reflection for my 20% time project. I really enjoyed doing this project. It is a great idea to finally learn how to do something that you have been interested in, and have it count for school. I love that we were able to do this project. I felt that it really gave each and everyone of us a chance to express ourselves. My project was definitely time consuming, but it was also loads of fun! Not only was it a stress reliever, but in my busy life, it was also a nice time to have to myself. I was not able to complete as many pages as I would have liked by the presentation date, but I am definitely proud of my book. It is organized, pretty, and overall, just a great representation of who I am. I wish I had more time to dedicate to this hobby. Scrapbooking has always been something that I wanted to do and now I can. I definitely want to finish it. I learned a lot through videos and pictures online. It is easy to learn but not easy to do. You have to put a lot of love into it. This was a very expensive project. Thank God my mother is a crafty woman. If she was not, I would have spent a lot more money than I did. I recommend this hobby to everyone that is willing to put the time, effort, and love into it. It is a beautiful thing and it is also something really nice to look back at when you are older. It is a beautiful book filled with precious memories. It makes a great gift too! I just love scrapbooking and I am so happy that I chose to learn how to do it as my 20% time project!
Reflection #15
At this point I have managed to finish the page that I dedicated to my father. I think this is just about as far as I am going to get with my scrapbook before it is time to present it. I really thought that I was going to get more done but that is as far as I am going to get. I am very proud of my scrapbook. It is very organized. I figured that it was not going to be finished because scrapbooks are on going projects that you can always add on to. I cannot wait to show everyone what an amazing hobby scrapbooking is. I really love doing it. It is time consuming but it is a lot of fun. I recommend this hoppy to everyone that is willing to put the time into it because it truly is a beautiful hobby.
