Reflection Week 17

My final 20%  Project was really fun. I enjoyed creating an outline for my future and I'm glad I put time and effort into it. Although I wish I could have added more things to my vision book, I really like the end product.

Reflection Week 17

This week I have been working on my presentation for 20% Time and deciding what parts of my vision book I want to display to the class.

Reflection Week 16

I basically have everything I want in my vision book. All I have to do is actually put those things in my vision book. I also have to print more of my blog posts. I haven't created a lot of blog posts this semester, but I plan on including the blog posts I created the first semester in my book.

Reflection Week 14

This week for 20% Time I started to work on a blog post. I didn't have time to finish it, but it will most likely be finished some time this week. I also planned on creating a page in my vision book in which I place small mementos on the page. When I'm finished doing this, my vision book will basically be done. All I need to include is a picture of myself and my family.

Reflection Week 12

This week for 20% Time, I included in my vision book visions I want to see come true throughout the years (want I want to do in highschool, what I want to do in college, etc.). I also added more colleges to my academics page, because I did more research on colleges in NJ and NY that are good for journalism.

Reflection Week 11

This week for 20% Time, I included in my vision book experiences and possessions I would like to have in the future. I also included the dream job I want to have and where I want to work. I still need to ask my mother to send pictures of my family members so I can include them in my vision book as inspirations. Hopefully I can print these things out this week in school.

Reflection Week 10

This week I didn't make any progress on my vision book, even though I had a lot of free time this week. I wanted to ask my mom to send some pictures of my family members to my email, but I just ended up delaying it. This week I plan on actually making progress and I might create a new Wordpress post this week.

Reflection Week 9

This week for 20% Time, I included my inspirations in my vision book. One page has celebrities, but this Monday I plan on including my family members. My mom most likely has pictures of my family members in her email, so I will ask her to send some to me. I also started to work on a Wordpress post this week, but I have to determine if I want to continue working on it.

Reflection Week 8

This week for 20% Time, I included in my vision book my inspirations. I included celebrities, but later on this week I want to include pictures of my family members that I will have my mom send to me. I also finished the page of places I want to go in the future. I haven't been able to acess printers this week, but I'm sure I will be able to next week since I won't have a lot of work to do because of PARCC.

Reflection Week 7

This week for 20 Percent Time I realized that although I started on my page of places I want to go, I did not complete it. Next week I plan on including more of the places I want to go in the future. I still haven't printed out a lot of the things I want to include in my vision book, but I'm sure I can print all of them out when I go back to school Monday.

Reflection Week 6

This week for 20% Time, I included in my vision book quotes that relate to me and places I want to go. I have been getting a lot of positive feedback on my blog posts lately, so I decided that I should create more posts next week and print out all of the blog posts I have made thus far and put them in my vision book. I am still contemplating on whether or not I should get a different vision book.

Reflection Week 5

This week for 20% Time I included pictures that describe me. Most of these pictures go hand-in-hand with the words that describe me. I also decided to include quotes that reflect me and my goals. I didn't have a lot of time to include a lot of things in my vision book this week, but since spring break is coming up, I know I can work on my book a lot more.

Reflection Week 4

This week for 20% Time I continued to do research on colleges I might go to in the future, and put four in my vision book. I also included words that I think describe me. I printed out my last blog post and put it in my vision book. I plan on creating a section that indicates where all of my blog posts will be some time next week. I'm also still thinking about getting a new vision book because I feel like the current one I have right now is too plain and I want to make it more interesting.

Reflection Week 3

This week for 20% Time, I did research on what colleges would be best for me so I could add it to my vision book. I did this because I wanted to incorporate academic visions into my vision book. I found four colleges that I might consider going to, and I plan on putting them in my vision book when I have a chance. I also have a packet that gives me an academic path/ plan, so I will put that in my vision book as well. I also created a blog post this week, so I plan on printing it out and putting it in my vision book, since my blog is a step to my career goal (journalism).

I've also considered the idea of buying a new book, because what I have right now is a blue binder, and I want something that's more creative, like a hard cover book.

Reflection Week 2

This week for my 20% Time Project I created a cover for my vision book and wrote a mission statement. My mission statement basically explained who I was and what I aspire to be/do. I also wrote about what I hope to gain by starting a career in journalism and why I love the idea of being a journalist. The mission statement was very general, but I did that on purpose so I could get more in detail later.

Reflection Week 1

This week I didn't make any progress on my vision book due to projects for school, but I did get to do a lot of research on what to include in my book. I didn't get all the materials I wanted for my vision book, but my parents have some things from their jobs they can give to me which will help me out a lot. I only have one test next week, so I'll probably have a lot more time to work on my project.

20% Time Proposal

For my last 20% project, I decided to create two blog posts out of the week. I want to continue blogging, but for my 20% project I want to create a vision book. In my vision book, I will include all of the things I want to accomplish in the future, who or what inspires me to do better, important people and places in my life, etc. I did something like this in eighth grade, but I wasn't satisfied with my final project. I plan on creating some blog posts similar to the ones I created last semester and putting them in my book. A lot of this project will be done at home. For this project I need a binder, copy paper, markers and other drawing materials, etc.

Final Semester Reflection

My 20% goal was to create a blog post for two days out of the week every week until it was time to show our presentation to the class. I usually made one post out of the week, but I did have some week where I created two. WordPress has been a great platform for me to share my opinions on things happening currently, and I'm glad I got to use it. Although I was sometimes nervous about sharing my work with others, gaining positive feedback was really important to me and I really appreciated it. I felt good about my presentation; I got to share my progress with the class. I will most likely continue blogging for the next 20% project, since it will be helpful in my future career.

Reflection Week 15

This week I created two blog posts Since I only created one last week, I'm glad I got back on track and created two like I was supposed to. 20 Percent Time is almost over and I can say that I'm satisfied with my final outcome. I haven't told my family that I made some blog posts recently, so I'll have to tell them so I can get their feedback. Most of the time, their responses are positive. I did however, want to make a touchup on the first blog I wrote this week, because I didn't like how I worded a lot of things after looking back at it.

Reflection Week 14

This week on my blog I only created one blog post. I started to work on the second one for this week, but I had a lot of quizzes and tests to study for as well as projects to complete. I doubt I'll be able to create two next week since I have an even busier week. Despite my busy week, this project is almost coming to a close and I want to accomplish my goal and create two blog posts out of the week.
