Reflection Week 15

Project is going well, I am working on the powerpoint and working on different models as well.

Week 15

This week I worked on my presentation some more, adding some touches on what blog posts I will highlight, where I will stress and highlight growth, and the general point of my presentation. I also went back into every existing blog post I created to work on grammar mistakes and conciseness. I added pictures to my slides, and developed talking points for the final presentation. At this point, I am done creating new blog posts for the presentation, and will focus on what I have done these past two marking periods.

Reflection 15

I had a really busy week and weekend so I'm kind of okay with the fact that I did not knit at all. I've come to realize that this sweater is not really going to be a sweater anymore. I'm hoping to at least get it to look like a vest or something. Anyway, I'm going to try to focus next week especially since its gonna be due soon and I have a ton of other stuff to do. Ugh, I need some motivation or something.

Reflection 15

This week was rather uneventful. I wasn't able to bake anything, both because I was busy at times and then lazy. I've been behind on my blog posts so I simply took this week to work on them. They're all written but I just need to attach the pictures onto them before posting them. I only have one more week of this 20% Time, so I'm pretty worried about me not learning enough. I want to get in at least 1 more recipe before the end and then figure out what foods to bring in for my presentation. Wish me luck!

Reflection Week 15

Memorial Day Weekend was not productive whatsoever. I wasn't home all weekend, and that was when I planned to work on my website. However, I'm hoping to make up for the lost time next week when everything is back to normal. Work on the website is going well, but stuff still need to be added. I'm having trouble creating tabs on my page, but I should be able to fix that.

REFLECTION 15.0

This week I made the decision to stray from practicing my icing techniques in order to evaluate a more useful prospect. I have learned to cook and practiced cooking a variety of food s however I forgot an everyday essential, Mac and Cheese. Now cooking mac and cheese is a very basic and simple thing to do, therefore I did not run into any major problems with this endeavor. Although the taste was not perfect, it was decent nothing special but nothing bad. The recipe that I used was from All Recipes - http://allrecipes.com/recipe/11679/homemade-mac-and-cheese/

New Reflection #15

This week, I thought I could reminisce on all the songs I have learned since playing the piano. I have come to find out that I have only learned 13 songs in total. For some reason, I had thought I had learned more but that goes to show that I am eager to know more. I know the project is almost over with and I need to pick a song to present to the class. I going to have to pick the song I know best out of the 13 I know. I don't know which but I eventually figure it out.

Reflection #15 5/28

Kamryn
Intro to Humanities

My second semester 20% Project is going to be me learning to bake and cook many new things. This is a short week at school and the weather is starting to become really beautiful, so I made ice pops using frozen juice and soda mixed. As a child, my grandma told me to mix flavors and I have loved it ever since, so I used Pepsi and fruit punch to create my ice pops. I took a small paper cup and poured the liquid in it. I put it in the freezer and about 25 minutes later, I stuck it in the wooden craft stick and then put it back in the freezer. After 30 minutes I had some ice pops. It was a little too frozen so I left it out and forgot about it and it melted... I made another one with Seven Up soda and this time I only froze it for 40 minutes in total and the middle did not freeze completely so it as easier to eat. I also used a fork instead of a craft stick. I enjoyed it!

Reflection Week 15

Progress on this website has been made. Before I start, I would like to acknowledge that my time management skills have improved drastically as I am almost always able to find some time for my 20% Time Project. I'm still working on my website, and am getting some help from my brother and cousin. They know what mistakes I made and they can help me fix them. I'm hoping to finish my project next week as I am almost basically finished.

Reflection #14

This week for my 20% time project I actually worked out outdoors. I waited till it hit sunset and i actually went for a run and did some workouts outside. I have not done this in a while and it feels great to do it. It was so beautiful out and the scenery is motivating. i went by myself this time and found that i worked well. I was focused on myself and not any one else's pace. It was awesome. so it looks to me like this is how i will be working out form now on but only if its nice out. water is the same though and food was a little messy this week. I have to get on top of things!!

Reflection 15

This week I was able to continue my routine of interviewing students and posting them to the page. After talking to my teacher, I have decided to continue my page dedicated to seniors and their last few days on campus. I think it will be an important and great memorabilia in the future. This page will be like a yearbook full of memories for when we were in high school. This motivates me even more to capture more moments as the final days are approaching. I still have about 4 weeks left in the school year and I need to keep my eyes open for when a student wears their college shirt, I can take a picture of them. I am excited that Humans of UCVTS has grown from 2 followers to now 130 followers with over 3,000 views. I never expected this to happen. Please check out the page in facebook https://www.facebook.com/humansofucvts/notifications/

Reflection 15

This week, I finished filling in my linear perspective drawing. I really like how it looks. I am going to watch some more lessons on graphics and graphic drawings because I really enjoy doing them and I find them much more relaxing and fun than portraits. This project is definitely leading me into an interest in graphic design.

Reflection S2 W15

This week, I started to plan out what my final presentation for 20% Time will be. I thought for a while and decided that I would start off my presentation with a slideshow of the different meals I made along with how I prepared and/or cooked them. I then plan to follow that up with an explanation of how cooking brought me closer with my family. In the presentation I want to specifically focus on how cooking with family strengthens bonds and gives your family and yourself a fun way to spend time together. I am going to cover how cooking with my grandma meant a lot to her and how happy she was to spend time with me.

Reflection #14

Intro to Humanities

My second semester 20% Project is going to be me learning to bake and cook many new things. I was not in class during 20% time this week due to my busy schedule last week. So much has been going on in my life and I am very very busy. This week I made breakfast on Monday, but just Eggo waffles and sausages. On Wednesday, I helped my mother cook some chicken. I forget what she called it, but we baked it in the oven first and then covered it in this yummy brown sauce and made rice to go along with it. It was delicious!! I will dd the recipe to my document I have been keeping.

Reflection Week 14

Ok so I got tired of waiting for the DC Motor so I went to Walmart to get one. I still have to get a switch and I need to stop wasting time. Honestly, I haven't been on my grind lately, I have been slacking. I promise I will get myself back together after my other prom at the end of the week.

REFLECTION 14.0

This week I made my gallant return to baking vanilla yellowcake. Ass you may recall my first attempt ended in failure and disappointment, however redemption is in my sights. Therefore I gained an understanding of the error I made in my first attempt; this error was under-beating the batter which lead to a horrible cake overall. With that in mind I successfully created another vanilla yellowcake, one that was beaten the right amount and well cooked overall. The only thing that was less than desired was the icing; initially the icing held no real significance to me however my attempt to icing on the cake was nonexistent. Therefore, next time when I cook this again I aim to to put more effort into the icing part of my cake.

New Reflection #14

This week, I played Au Clair de la Lune for the last time for a long time. Even though I want to move on, I feel as though I am moving along at a slow pace. Websites that I have looked at say some of the keys to slow playing is lack of practice and failure to recognize patterns in a song. I try my best to practice when I can but maybe I need more training with recognizing patterns since that what music really is: just musical note patterns. I am looking online for songs that help me recognize patterns better.

Reflection Week 14

Everything is on schedule, but I'm still having problems with my website. Since I wasn't able to do too much work on the website because of weekend plans, I was forced to leave the website in the state that it was last week. Although the website isn't exactly functional yet and there are still things to be tweaked, I'm hoping to iron out these problems in the coming weeks.

Reflection Week 14

This was my prom weekend, so I didn't do much of anything when it comes to creating any new material or researching for future blog posts. What I began doing is planning how I am going to make my final presentation. My general plan is to post certain blog posts which highlight growth as a writer and detail the progression in my researching process. I went through the process of picking which posts would be used in my PowerPoint.

Week-14

This week I didn't do much origami. I mostly just did a lot of research on 3-D origami. I had never seen it before and I was interested to see how it is done. I thought it would be filled with very intricate folding, which some pieces do include, but most pieces I saw were not that way. I learned that you have to make much smaller and simpler pieces and it's the arrangement of those pieces that make the 3-D origami look so complex. This week, I want to actually try a 3-D piece and see how it goes.

Reflection Week 14

This week for 20% Time I started to work on a blog post. I didn't have time to finish it, but it will most likely be finished some time this week. I also planned on creating a page in my vision book in which I place small mementos on the page. When I'm finished doing this, my vision book will basically be done. All I need to include is a picture of myself and my family.

Reflection 14

I worked on my sweater a little bit this week. Basically what I have right now is about 3/4 of the back of the body done and then a little bit of the front. Last week, I moved whatever I had done of the back onto another knitting needle just to hold my place so I could get started on the front of the body. It's basically doing the same thing I did in the back. It's very very similar to what I did last semester when I was working on my scarf. I'm hoping to find some time next week to finish that and start at least one sleeve. My goal used to be to get a whole sweater done but I feel like that's a little bit unrealistic at this point. I'm going to try to at least get most of the parts done and to do a little bit of seaming on at least one part of sweater (probably like a sleeve or something).

Reflection 14

Today I am beginning to fill in my perspective drawing. I already liked how it was looking last week with just pencil, but as I was looking at lessons online I saw a lot of drawings being filled in with sharpies and I like the way that looked even more so I decided to give that a try. The shading definitely gives more depth to the picture. I forgot to bring my colored sharpies today so I am just using black and I will fill in the rest at home.

Reflection 14

A nice thing that happened on the page is the support from parents. I was surprise to see so many likes and a couple comments from parents saying how the description of the photo are a accurate description of their child. I guess in the day and age of Facebook where once you are tagged, then everyone can see, that applies to your mom if you are friends with her on Facebook. I'm glad that the parents approved, which was one of my concerns because once a parents disapprove, I would have to change the format that I was creating the page. The evidence that my page has met a successful direction will allow me to further develop instead of starting back from base one.

Please check out the page: https://www.facebook.com/humansofucvts/insights/?section=navPosts

Reflection 13

I continued my linear perspective drawing. I was a bit doubtful in the beginning that it would look three dimensional but it actually does. I like how it is more calculated than freehand drawing. I've discovered that with freehand drawing I get very hung up on minor details, and then get discouraged. With perspective drawing there are lines to follow as a guide, and I like that more.

Reflection 14

This week I was able to bake red velvet cupcakes! It was a really last minute decision because I was first planning to just bake my vanilla cupcakes for the bake sale again. They didn't exactly turn out to be red velvet (both the color and taste), but the frosting was the best I've ever made. It was really fun to see the improvements I've made in making frosting and try out the different types. The cupcakes also looked great. I'm still waiting on making macaroons because I've never found the time to and to get the ingredients. I hope I will be able to soon.

Reflection 12

I'm realizing now that I forgot to update this last week. Last week, I continued watching lessons on linear perspective. I learned a lot about perspective in my AP Art History class, so it is interesting for me to watch the videos on how to achieve different kinds of perspective.

This week was a rather slow week as far as 20% Time goes. I had work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and I have prom at my home school tonight. I did not have a lot of free time to do a whole lot of anything this week, even though I have had three tests and a project as of Thursday morning. I am going to try my best to try to cook over the weekend. My parents are going out on Friday, and I will be home with my sisters. If my sisters are okay with it, I am willing to cook for them while my parents are away. They are easy and like foods like mac and cheese and chicken cutlets, so I do not think I will have too much trouble preparing a meal for them.

REFLECTION 13.0

This week for my 20% project, I returned to honing my grilling ability. Therefore, I cooked foods that I’d normally bake, boil, or fry on the grill. These foods included corn, chicken, hot dogs, and patties and the barbecue was to honor my cousin for graduating from William & Mary and his admission into the Medical School of the University of Virginia. Grilling these foods were really easy and I received a lot of positive feedback from the people at the barbecue commenting on how good the foods were. In addition, I really enjoyed the barbecue myself so this day was really successful.

Reflection 13

This week I ended up baking my vanilla cupcakes because my family really wanted me to bake them again. This time, I attempted to make my own buttercream frosting using butter and sugar, but it ended up tasting really bad because I used salted butter instead of unsalted. Even though it tasted kinda weird, I still piped it onto some cupcakes, but ended up scraping all of it off. In the end, I used my leftover cream cheese frosting from last time and they tasted great. I also baked cinnamon roll cookies, which I previously baked before but struggled, and ended up failing worse than last time. The cookies spread out way too much and the filling spilled out. I was super sad but my family still liked how they tasted. I can't wait to bake more!

Reflection Week 13

This weekend was particularly busy for me, with prom upcoming and family obligations. I didn't have as much time as I wish I did for writing an article, so instead I continued my research on Hillary Clinton. What I find fascinating about Hillary is how little is actually talked about her resume and achievements. Perhaps through a failure of social media and society as a whole, only the very surface of Hillary's actions are explored and brought up to scrutiny. In preparation for an extremely important presidential election, I hope that this article can perhaps help people look at the election on a slightly deeper level, outside of mud slinging and pessimistic sentiments.

Reflection #13 5/15

Kamryn
Intro to Humanities

My second semester 20% Project is going to be me learning to bake and cook many new things. In class, I was not feeling well and did not do as much as I had planned to working on typing up all the recipes. At home, I learned how to make eggs actually and put together a big breakfast for my grandmother's 86th birthday. I made eggo waffles on the stove using butter and the waffles, constantly flipping the waffles so they would not burn and cook evenly on both sides. For the eggs, I cracked two eggs and whisked in cheese and salt & pepper. I made them scrambled on the stove. I also cooked beef linked sausages on the stove and turkey bacon. My grandmother was very excited for her big breakfast and I made her some coffee using the Keurig to go along with it all.

Reflection 13

I'm surprised I actually knit this week. Anyway I got a lot of rows done on the back, which I've been working on this whole time but I started getting a little nervous because I was getting close to the neck and sleeves so I sort of just left that alone and put it off to the side. I started on the front of the body, and right now I don't really have too much done, only the first four rows. I'm kind of skipping around and going out of order but whatever who cares. I'm sure it'll turn out fine.

New Reflection #13

This week, I have decided that I won't be playing Let It Be by the Beatles. I thought I was doing well enough with the song that I don't need to play it anymore. Now I just need to practice playing Au Clair de la Lune a little more and I will be looking for my next song. I still don't know what genre the new song will be in.

Reflection Week 13

This week for 20% Time, I included in my vision book things I want to achieve over the years (i.e. things I want to achieve while in highschool, things I want to achieve in college, things I want to achieve after graduating college). I also did reseaech for a Wordpress post that I want to create next week. I want to write a review of Bell Hooks' review of Beyonce's Lemonade. Since I wanted to properly formulate my thoughts, I reread Hooks' review and what other people had to say about it.

Reflection Week 13

As the clock is winding down for Finals, my project isn't still 100% complete. I am still having a few problems: MY DC MOTOR HASN'T BEEN DELIVERED YET. I'm honestly just about to go to Walmart and buy one instead of waiting on the delivery. I should not have put my whole trust into the delivery of the DC Motor anyway which is my fault. I get my car back tomorrow (May 14), so when I get it back I will go to Walmart to buy one to complete my project.

Reflection 13

This week I hit mew milestone for the Humans of UCVTS page. After using the power of social media and friends, i was able to go over the 100 likes mark on my page. I find this really shocking because the first five posts that I posted had little over 10 views with maybe 1 or 2 likes. However, after my special theme focusing the page specifically on seniors, I was able to get more attention. I think for the remaining days of May, I will continue to photograph and interview seniors about their future plans. The audience are curious and are empathetic to the excitement for the new things to come. Because of the high amount of views, I am thinking of posting twice a week instead of once a week. however, May is a really busy time for seniors because or Prom, filed trips, and just holidays. I will try my best to engage the audience as much as possible.
Thank you and stay tune.

Even though it was not in the past week, Mother’s Day was last Sunday. I figured it would only be right to cook for my mom on her special day. My dad and I got up early to prepare breakfast. We planned on making egg sandwiches and French toast which we prepared the night before. My dad scrambled the eggs because that’s kind of his thing and I toasted the buns and cooked the taylor ham (pork roll to some). While doing all of that on the stovetop, I put the French toast in the oven to cook at 400° F for 20 minutes. After the French toast was done, I took it out and the final step of the recipe called for it to be served with Nutella, but I didn’t see that initially, so I made a last minute run to Acme to grab some. When everything was finished, my mom woke up and loved the breakfast. I’m glad I took this project on because without it, I would not have been able to do what I did.

Reflection Week 13

To start off, it seems like this website hasn't gone as well as I hoped it would. I've been using some wrong tags and ids, and now I'm having some trouble fixing them. I found a tutorial to fix this issue, so I'll most likely try it when I get home. Other than that, I haven't done much. I'm still practicing coding, and it seems to be paying off little by little. As this school year comes to a close, I've already exceeded what I thought this page would look like, and I am quite proud of myself.

Reflection 13

This week for my 20% time project I actually visited a new gym. It is by far the nicest gym i have ever been to. Lifetime Fitness in Florham Park. It is beautiful. I worked out twice there this week but i went to my gym twice as well so this week i went four days total. I also drank four water bottles. My sister and i also teamed up again to make some appetizing healthy food. She has been motivating me and everything is running smoothly with my results. I am very excited to see just how much healthier we are going to get. This new lifestyle is exciting!

REFLECTION 12.0

This week I felt s though it was necessary to reenforce the skills I developed through practicing the meals I had learned how to cook recently. Therefore, I decided to simply do a run through of the meals I learned recently by cooking them. The foods that I cooked were caesar salad, fried rice, sweet plantains and spinach stew. I did not add any variations to the recipes like I usually try to do because I wanted to take it easy and relax. Nevertheless, the meals came out very nicely and I am looking forward to next week because I will learn how to cook a really popular western African dish that I had for gotten bout. It is called fufu and is usually served with soup; the more specific details will be revealed next week.

Reflection #12

This week for my 20% time project i was able to stay at my 4 bottles a day goal. I did make new meals that i am excited to present when the time comes to share our project experience. One thing that is really cool is that my want to do this has motivated my sister to join me and start changing her lifestyle. It really is important to be healthy and I am glad that the people i love are starting to realize that as well. My sister is now accompanying me in my workouts and meals and it is really cool to have someone that wants to get results just like you. it is definitely motivating.

New Reflection #12

This week, I felt I needed to practice more with chords so I went and found a song that contained a lot of chords. The song is a French song called Au Clair de la Lune by Christine O' Neil. It's a short song about 1 sheet long that has many ties and chords. The plan is to practice this song to get more familiar with chords before I continue to other songs.

Week 12

This week I wrote an article on Obama's presidency and a general overview of his impact on the country, both from a celebrity and presidential perspective. I also started research on Hillary Clinton's resume and personal history, given the proximity to the primary and general election. Next week I plan on writing the Hillary Clinton article and continue to work on my writing skills.

Week 12

In the beginning of this semester, my goal was to just learn origami and create a lot of difficult things with only paper. After looking at a couple of origami tutorials this week I found instructions for 3-D origami which seemed fun to try. I think that now, my goal is to complete a few 3-D pieces as well. Hopefully they will be successful.

Reflection 12

Ok I'm gonna be honest, I did not work on knitting my scarf this week. It just kind of became the last thing on my list of priorities. In class, I looked at some youtube videos about attaching the sleeves to the body and about knitting the neck of the scarf. I know I'm not that far along yet, but I figured it'd be good to get an idea of what I'm going to have to do soon. It looks really hard but I'm sure my mom will help me when it's time.

Reflection 12

This week I was finally able to bake again! I baked vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting on them. It was my first time baking cupcakes from scratch and the second time I ever made my own frosting. Making the cupcakes was pretty easy but the frosting didn't really turn out the way I wanted. It was too soft and wasn't as stiff as I wanted, but at least it tasted good! I sold them for my class bake sale and they all sold out which is great! I hope to bake more things like cupcakes and macaroons in the future. Also, I have 6 recipes so far on my blog (actually 5, but I just need to post my cupcakes on there once I finish writing it). Wish me luck!

Reflection 12

This week I saw a huge success in my page. I dedicated the page to a month on Seniors starting on May 2nd, which is College Decision Day.  I actively shared the page and my friends also shared the page. The page now  have 86 followers, 1,405 views, and 320 participating views. i saw many positive comments and support for the seniors featured in the page. It is so fun to see the hard work for the past 2 months to be recognized by the campus. The followers still do not know that I am the person behind Humans of UCVTS and I would like to remain that way until I graduate. Please check out the link for inside peeks of a Senior's brain as well as the rest of the month featuring seniors.

Reflection Week 12

This week for 20% Time, I included in my vision book visions I want to see come true throughout the years (want I want to do in highschool, what I want to do in college, etc.). I also added more colleges to my academics page, because I did more research on colleges in NJ and NY that are good for journalism.

It has become sort of a routine at my house for me to help out with dinner at least one night a week since I started this project (Already 12 weeks ago!). I have been spending a lot of time doing my 20th century timeline, which is my U.S. History final project, but I found time to help out one night. My mom was making raviolis and meatballs, and she asked me to help. I was in the middle of working on my history timeline, so I finished the decade I was working on, and went to help her. My mom already mixed the meats and rolled them into balls and make the sauce, so all that was left is to cook the pasta and meatballs. They were done in about 45 minutes, and it turned out great. Even though I was not working on my timeline, I am glad I still got to help out.

Reflection Week 12

Similar to last week, work is currently being done on this webpage. I'm having a little bit of trouble with the tags, but it's not something a little bit of practice won't fix. Although the work on this website is not going as quickly as I expected. I'm going to a family member over who is very skilled with code, and could possibly help me improve something or fix something for me. As work continues on the website, I can feel like I'm beginning to work faster and faster, even though my website doesn't look like the masterpiece I hoped it would. Only time will tell if I manage to achieve the goal that I set for myself, to create a beautiful website about whatever I like.

Reflection Week 12

Today is Thursday, May 5th. I am still waiting on the DC Motors to come from the mail. If it does not come in by tomorrow I am going to continue building the separate bodies for the toys (boats, cars, helicopter). I am modeling my first few creations off of YouTube videos just for a start and then I am going to create stuff from pure imagination. I am also going to record me making the toys and make a small video to include into my PowerPoint.

My second semester 20% Project is going to be me learning to bake and cook many new things. This week I did the same old, same old. I researched recipes in class, but the whole class I kept thinking about spaghetti. My mom makes the best spaghetti and I am going to be honest after past meals I have made following online recipes I decided to stick with my mom's. She taught me how to cook the ground beef when I made nachos, and after the meat browns I added the tomato sauce and chopped onions and peppers and stirred them every so often. A few minutes before I expected the sauce to be ready, I brought water to a boil and sprinkled in some salt. Once the water was boiled, I out in the spaghetti pasta and let it cook. Once, both were done I mixed them and added a little Parmesan cheese and ate it. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!

reflection #11

This week for my 20% time project I was able to make it to the gym four times. This has definitely become the number for me. It's the most I am honestly going to be able to make it. I can't get myself to pass four water bottles either which is something I did not expect. My meals this week were not as consistent as I would like them to be. I want to make sure I eat right everyday but it becomes a challenge when I am not home and other foods are much easier to access. I hope to make every thing work together when it comes to diet, exercise, and water.

Reflection 11

This week I actually found some time to work on my sweater, but I'm still only working on the body. I didn't think knitting a sweater would take this long. I realized that I never posted a picture of what it's supposed to look like in the end, so I'll post one now. It's supposed to look like this, only instead of two colors I'm only using one and instead of blue or gray, I'm using an oatmeal colored yarn. I'd say right now I'm about at the halfway point of the body. It really is a lot of work.

Reflection 11

This week, I looked for lessons outside of drawspace. I found some good videos on YouTube and plan to take a break from Drawspace since the lessons felt like I had just been viewing the same things over and over. I like the step by step pictures, but I am going to try videos for a little while. I also decided that I am going to keep the portrait in pencil and not color it in, because I like the way the pencil shading looks.

This week I updated my article on beef production and infrastructure with helpful pictures and maps! They look much nicer and are more informative than they were in the past with the visual aid. Also, I started researching my next topic, which is a comprehensive look at the presidency of Barack Obama. Spoiler Alert, he was really a great president; sure, the economy isn't perfect, but Obama pushed a lot of unheralded legislation, signed important executive orders, and made key decisions in foreign policy. And he'll undoubtedly go down as one of the most charismatic presidents in our history. Obama out.

Reflection #11 5/1

Intro to Humanities

My second semester 20% Project is going to be me learning to bake and cook many new things. Happy Decision Day Everyone!!! Pitt 2020 here I come!!!! On another note, this week I was bored and scrolling down my Facebook page and came across a video for churro bowls!!! I was like yumm, I am going to make a churro bowl for my 20% project. So, I got 1/4 cup of butter, 2 tbsp. of brown sugar, 1 cup of water, and 1/2 tsp. of salt and brought it to a boil. After it was boiling and the butter melted, I added 1 cup of flour and stirred it until in a ball, turning down the stove heat. I did not do it as long as I was supposed to and you can tell by the consistency of the dough. I didn't know any better though! Then I turned off the stove and mixed in four eggs separately and adding 1 tsp. of vanilla extract. Then, I put the dough in a piping tool and I tried to make the bowls using an inverted muffin pan, but the dough kept slipping down and I just made circles on a cookie sheet after spraying it with Pam. Then, I put it in the freezer for 5 hours, instead of 3 because I went to the mall. Next, I fried the churros. Once brownish, I took them out and drained the oil on paper towel. Of course the first two were burned on the outside and uncooked on the inside because I let the oil boil for too long. Well once I got them the right texture, I rolled them in cinnamon sugar and they were ready to eat!!They look weird, but tasted pretty good.

New Reflection #11

This week, I finally completed my song Let It Be, by the Beatles. Even thought I can only play the song slowly, I can play it fluently enough so that it flows nicely. My new goal is to play the song fluently but more fast pace the way the song was meant to be played. I have also been working on inversions between chords on the C-A scales on the piano. I also obtained a song book so I can look at the scales, chords, and inversions better without a song sheet.

week 11

I've continued to do the medium level of origami, like I mentioned last week. It's pretty hard, but I know it will get easier. I had a lot of time towards the end of this week, so that's when I did most of the origami. It was still calming, even though I wasn't even stressed. I was really proud that I was able to make an origami heart, which seemed very hard to do at first. It turned out pretty nice but I didn't take a picture of it.

Reflection 11

Unfortunately, this week was extremely busy and I didn't have any time to bake once again. I'm planning to bake something this week because my new fridge is coming in and I won't have to worry about that anymore when baking. Time has passed really quickly! I plan to have at least 5 more recipes baked, and macaroons are on the top of that list. I'm excited to try some of the recipes I've found and push my boundaries. I hope that I won't get caught up in too much work to bake.

Reflection Week 11

This week for 20% Time, I included in my vision book experiences and possessions I would like to have in the future. I also included the dream job I want to have and where I want to work. I still need to ask my mother to send pictures of my family members so I can include them in my vision book as inspirations. Hopefully I can print these things out this week in school.

REFLECTION 11.0

This week I learned how to prepare a salad. Prior to this week, I avoided salads because whenever I ate salads in the past I would nauseous and sick. However, I decided to try to use organic ingredients to see if it would make a difference. Therefore, I learned how to cook a chicken caesar salad using this recipe http://allrecipes.com/recipe/14172/caesar-salad-supreme/. Overall, it was a pretty easy meal to cook therefore I did not have any problems. Additionally, I think the addition of organic ingredients helped cure my nausea.
