I am finding Signed English much easier to understand, and it just one week I can pick out a few words in videos. I would like to emphasize that it really is just a few, because when fluent people use Signed English it goes way faster than when I practice with myself, but just being able to pick something out made me excited. I am almost done with the first song I was learning. I can sign the whole thing, but not at all to the tempo of the song, so I am trying to work on speed. I definitely think watching the songs has been helping me to remember words and has been the main factor behind me being able to recognize things here and there.
Spreadthesign has been really helpful. It not only shows words but some common phrases too. I think this coming week I am going to focus more on learning common phrases than the songs.
