Reflect Week #5
To start off this weekend, I've decided to discuss with my coach about how this 20% Time Project can affect my fencing, and we've both come to the conclusion that this project would help me improve my endurance and speed. Before I started though, I had to research and find an exercise that would help me improve endurance and speed, and that was running. This led me to the conclusion that tempo-runs, a form of running, were exactly what I needed in order to improve both endurance and speed at the same time. This is something I'll be implementing into week 6, because I found this out halfway through this week. To start off, Saturday and Sunday were competition days, so I felt these could considered as workout days due to intensity of the 3 hours that I was there, and I would count these as cardio days. Monday and Friday were strength training days, so I spent time in the gym on Friday, and worked out at home on Monday. Wednesday was my flexibility training day, so I dedicated my half hour to stretching. That is week #6 of my 20% Time project.
